Time capsule tells the story of Louis Vuitton, the world famous fashion brand, using a hand-picked selection of objects and documents from the House’s archive covering over 160 years.
Time Capsule Exhibition Chengdu is displayed at the plaza in the Sino-ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu and will last till July 14, where visitors will have a better understanding of the Louis Vuitton’s brand story and take a close look at the House’s classic items and accessories.
The exhibition shows the ways in which Louis Vuitton has excelled in anticipating the needs and desires generated by technological progress, responding to them with imaginative and ingenious new creations.
The exhibition is presented as a timeline of landmark moments, focusing on 6 key aspects, which are Artisans’ room, The key to the codes, Journey around the world, Elegance in motion, Icons of the House and Magic malle.
Artisans’ room
Visitors may witness the Louis Vuitton artisans’ workmanship and experience it by stretching out, cutting, assembling and stitching the leather.
The key to the codes
The exhibits present a timeline of key moments in the history of Louis Vuitton and traces the reinvention of the House’s code. Louis Vuitton’s first success was its sturdy, innovative traveling trunk.
Journey around the world
Across the years, Louis Vuitton has continued to meet the challenges present by new forms of transport. So visitor have chance to see some transport accessories, luggage and steamer bags at this exhibition section.
Elegance in motion
Some custom-made items crafted by Louis Vuitton are being shown at the showcase.
Icons of the House
On display is a selection of Louis Vuitton’s most memorable and best-selling creations.
Magic Malle
The Magic malle invites visitors to embark on an immersive journey though the visual and creative world of Louis Vuitton by several LED screens inside the “Box”.
The Mahjong box, created by Louis Vuitton for the popular Chinese game, is exhibited specially for locals in Chengdu, as it is a popular way of leisure for Chengduers.
