Luodai is more a “Touristic” than an “Old” town. Well, for Chinese touristic goes hand in hand with shopping and “热闹”. Not really an old town, lots of different shops, good to buy small souvenirs and stroll for an afternoon. The crowds are sure to be thick during the weekends or holidays. We like to make a day of a Luodai visit, climb the Golden Dragon mountain with a replica of the Great Wall, and then visit the old town. Try the Shang Xin noodles and other special snacks. Note: Some visitors may wish to visit in July, when Luodai holds the traditional Hakka Dragon water-splashing festival.

How To Get There:

Taxi from the City Center takes around 30-40min.

Take the bus from Xinnanmen Station for 5.5RMB. Travel should take between 40-50 minutes.
