Chengdu-Expat have partnered with SPGS International School Chengdu, a new co-educational school offering expatriate families a complete British education enhanced with the best elements of Chinese Culture and global learning – to bring together a panel of education, and mental health experts together to answer your questions.

The panel discussion & QA will be hosted on Thursday 3rd June, from 9:30am at WeWork in Pinnacle One, in the heart of the city, next to Taikoo Li.

The event is free to attend, but prior registration is required, as spaces are limited.

Phillip Farrier-Price

Head of Junior School, SPGS International School Chengdu

Phil is the Head of Junior School for SPGS International School Chengdu, a brand new British international school opening this August in the Hi-Tech zone close to the Global Centre.He has nearly 20 years’ experience working in international and bilingual schools in China, having moved to Beijing in 2003. Phil graduated from Durham University with a degree in Education and Business Management and specialises in Early Years and Primary education. He was the Founding Principal of the first ever international kindergarten in Xiamen and has 10 years’ experience as Senior Principal/Head of School for several international schools and major Education Groups. He has also worked on government initiatives to share British teaching methodologies with Chinese educators.Phil has a unique appreciation of both British and Chinese culture and understands the opportunities a multicultural learning environment can give young children.

Henry He

Founder of The MINDCARE Project (新我疗心）

Henry is the founder of the The MINDCARE Project (新我疗心), which brings customized mental health workshops to schools, and workplaces.He is also a qualifies Australian mental health counselor, Australian Licensed Clinical Nurse (Psychiatry), and has 12 years working experience in Australian general health care and mental health care industry. He was previously employed by Australian Department of Health, St john of God medical group mental health center, Fiona Stanley hospital youth mental health center，Southern Cross mental health recovery program (manager).

Noel Roberts

Founder & CEO ZHL Consulting

Mr. Noel Roberts is the Founder and CEO of Zhuo Hang Ling Rui Business Consulting (Chengdu) Co., Ltd., providing Psycho-Educational Services, Student Support Systems Development, Parent and teacher training, and Mental Health Literacy Training to schools and universities in Chengdu and South West ChinaHe has over 35 years experience in education as a school mental health counselor. He completed his undergraduate studies in Community Psychology, and graduate studies in Social Work. Noel has a Certificate in Addiction Studies from Harvard Medical School, a Certificate in Special Needs Support from the College of Teachers in London, and an International TESOL Certificate. He is also an active member of the American School Counselors Association.

About SPGS

Located in the centre of High-Tech District by Jincheng Lake, SPGS International School Chengdu is a new co-educational school offering expatriate families a complete British education enhanced with the best elements of Chinese Culture and global learning.
