Run by a pair of musicians, Steam Hostel, located 5 minutes walking distance from Jinli Street and Wu Hou Ci (Zhu Geliang’s Memorial Hall), is a cool hostel based out of a renovated 1960’s building, inside the Sichuan Chemical Industry Designing Institute. With both dorms and private rooms available the hostel boasts Hostel-wide wifi coverage.
In addition to a hostel Steam also doubles up as a great music venue, with a small bar in the lobby which regularly plays host to live bands, carefully selected by Steam Hostel’s proprietors.
New Noise are also managing a small vinyl shop out of the hostel, further bolstering the location’s music credentials.
