Mt Zhaogong is located in the southwest of Dujiangyan City which is 68 kilometers away from Chengdu. It is in the northwest of Chengdu Plain and it belongs to Yutang Town, Qingcheng Mountain-Dujiangyan Scenic Area. It is named after Marshal Zhao Gongming, the god of wealth, who was believed to live in seclusion here. The highest peak is 2434 meters above sea level and is the blessed place of Mt Qingcheng’s Blessed Land. It is also an organic part of the Qingcheng Mountain-Dujiangyan National Key Scenic Area and the highest as well as main peak of Qingcheng Mountain.
Itinerary:
07:50 Meet at Exit F, Metro Line 2, East Shuhan Road.
08:00-09:30 Take a van to Longfeng Village, Dujiangyan, and get ready to hike.
09:30-15:00 Hike about 4.5 hours to the summit, passing Qingyun Temple after one and a half hours to have a break here. We’ll have lunch according to the actual time, so please prepare your own lunchbox.
15:00-18:00 Go downhill from the west route, hiking about 3 hours to the mountain foot.
18:00-19:30 Get back to Chengdu.
