This hike can be divided into AB routes:
Route A: 3-star difficulty level. Hike to the Risijia Pasture only. The highest altitude is about 2540 m and the climb distance is 500 m.
Route B: 4-star difficulty level. After reaching at Risijia Pasture, continue to hike to the top Lalahu Forest. The highest altitude is about 3250 m and the climb distance is 1280 m.
Risijia Pasture, a niche pasture hidden in Wolong’s secret realm, whose name can’t be found on the map. Wild flowers bloom in spring, cool breeze hits in summer, colorful forests are everywhere in autumn, and winter is covered in silver white. Standing on the meadow, looking at the snow-capped mountains in the distance with the views of the colorful forests, one would linger on and hesitate to leave.
07:50 Meet at Exit C, Metro Line 2, Baiguolin and the bus will leave at 08:00 on dot.
08:00-10:30 With our pulses racing, we are loaded into a chartered van for a drive down to Wolong, Wenchuan and get ready to hike.
10:30-12:30 Led by an experienced local guide to hike uphill to Risijia Pasture.
12:30-13:00 Lunchtime! Please prepare your own packed lunchbox.
13:00-15:00 After lunch, you can choose either Route A to wander around the pasture or Route B to continue the hike and explore the autumn forest according to your own physical situation or preference.
15:00-17:30 Go downhill from a different route.
17:30-20:00 Get back to Chengdu.
