We are delighted to invite you to the 11th Annual Charity Burns Night Supper 2023, jointly organised by the British Chamber of Commerce Southwest China, Rotary Club Chengdu and the Chengdu Malt Whisky Club to take place on Saturday 14th January, from 18:30-23:00 at Miku at Fairmont Chengdu.
A Burns Night Supper is an annual celebratory tribute to the life, works and spirit of the great Scottish poet, Robert Burns (1759-1796). Celebrated on, or about, the Bard’s birthday, a Burns Night Suppers includes the “Piping” of the haggis, plenty of Scotch whisky, and the recital of works by; about, and in the spirit of the Bard!
Each year we carefully select a local community project to support and channel all proceeds from the event to worthy causes! This year we will hold the 10th Burns Night in Chengdu. All the residual funds will be donated to the Hopeful Hearts, Charity number 5332000050917103XB.
Hopeful Hearts is a non-profit charity run by local Chinese and expatriate volunteers. Our aim is to raise awareness and funds in order to provide life saving heart surgeries for children of low income Chinese families.
