The theme for this month is “Asia’s Last Frontier: Entrepreneurship in North Korea”.
After the guest speaker panel we will hold an open “5 minute pitch” for those who want to share the businesses they are currently working on or get feedback on their ideas.
This is a free event and all are welcome to attend.
Guest Speakers:
1. Nils Weißensee
Head of Operations at the Singapore-based non-profit Choson Exchange, and is teaching business skills to students and young professionals in China and North Korea. He is also a co-founder of two specialty coffee companies in Shanghai. Previously, he worked as a China correspondent for international news agencies and served as Product Manager at a software company in Shanghai. He obtained his B.A. in Political Science and Journalism from Hamline University in Minnesota, and his M.A. in Political Science and Media Studies from the University of Trier in Germany.
