Panda Vision International Film Festival
(PVIFF) is one of China’s premier film festivals dedicated exclusively to young filmmakers under the age of 19. Founded in 2025 at Cogdel School Chengdu in Sichuan Province, the festival provides a global platform for middle and high school students to showcase their cinematic vision, creativity, and storytelling talent.The name “Panda Vision” pays tribute to Sichuan’s most iconic symbol—the giant panda—representing curiosity, creativity, and global connection.
What Makes PVIFF Unique:
– Youth Focus: Only filmmakers who are current middle or high school students and under 19 at the time of production may participate.
– International Reach: In 2026, the festival received 606 submissions from 64 countries and regions, with 49 films officially selected for screening.
– Diverse Categories: Narrative, Documentary, Experimental, and One-Minute Films
– 17 Awards: Including Best Film in each category, Special Achievement Awards, Grand Prize, Grand Jury Prize, Audience Choice Awards, and new categories such as Best Social Impact Film and Special Jury Recognition for Most Promising Filmmaker.
Festival Experience:
The one-day event features a red carpet ceremony, opening ceremony, public screenings, filmmaker workshops, a masterclass, and a closing awards ceremony. Held in the historic Anren Ancient Town, the festival also offers participants a chance to experience local culture, cuisine, and museums.
PVIFF is more than a competition—it’s a community, a learning experience, and a celebration of youth creativity that continues to inspire new generations of filmmakers.
