Savour, Asia’s premier gourmet food festival, comes to Chengdu for the first time!
Experience one of the world’s best food festivals. Rub shoulders with Michelin star chefs, sample over 40 signature dishes, taste hundreds of wines and participant in free masterclass and workshops.
Initiated in Singapore five years ago and introduced to Shanghai in 2015, this year’s event is joined by chefs from five restaurants beyond the city and several local chefs.
The stars to for the 3-day event running from October 20 to 23 include Alvin Leung from Bo Innovation in Hong Kong, and Joris Bijdenbijk from the Rijks in the Netherlands and Florian Favario from Epicure. Most dishes will be cooked on site by the chefs, most priced at 60 yuan ($9) and the rest at 90 yuan.
SAVOUR has been touted as one of the world’s best gourmet food festivals, and has been organized with much success in Singapore, Mumbai, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Over 250,000 foodies have been fed with some of the world’s best dishes in a Michelin-starred feast that can only be described as gluttonous. Happening in downtown Chengdu with Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu’s stunning architecture as background, the festival will be held in an alfresco setting amidst the beautiful autumn weather for the very first time here in the southwestern region of China.
How does it work? With RMB200, you can devour 3 dishes from these top chefs. Dishes are going at 2 easy prices: RMB60 and RMB90 – and the ingredients used are some of the most luxurious, e.g. lobster, caviar, bellota and foie gras.
Chefs will only be preparing a limited amount of dishes per day, therefore pre-purchased tasting tickets are highly recommended. Gourmet Package is sold at RMB200, with RMB180 worth of vouchers to spend at the event. For the seasoned connoisseurs, you might like to consider the VIP Package and the wine buffs will enjoy the Wine Tasting Ticket.
