Chengdu Jinjiang Contemporary Art Center (DCAC) is proud to present an exciting opportunity for art enthusiasts and printmaking enthusiasts alike. As part of our ‘Sir, where is this place?’ project and our first Artist in Residence Program, we invite you to immerse yourself in the world of experimental printmaking with our esteemed artists Phillipah Rumano from Zimbabwe and Tshegofatso Phore from South Africa.
These emerging artists, who have both trained at Artist Proof Studio (APS), will guide you through a series of captivating workshops that blend traditional printmaking techniques with innovative experimentation. You will have the unique opportunity to engage in thought-provoking discussions with the artists and gain insights into their artistic journeys.
These workshops are designed to foster creativity, encourage artistic exploration, and provide a platform for cultural exchange. Participants will have the chance to learn about the artists’ unique perspectives and techniques, while expanding their own artistic horizons. Join us at DCAC for an unforgettable experience that will ignite your passion for printmaking and connect you with the vibrant art scene of Chengdu.
To ensure a tailored and enriching experience, participation each workshop session is designed to cater to the specific needs and interests of different age groups.
Limited to 15 participants per session, this exclusive workshop provides an intimate and interactive setting. No prior art experience is required.

Artist Proof Studio (APS) is a dynamic community printmaking centre committed to excellence in every aspect of the art form, from creation and sales to training and community engagement. [1] Self-driving: It is recommended to locate “Tazishan Park-North Gate (car accessible)”, enter the parking lot in the park, and walk for 8 minutes after entering Tazishan Park.
[2] Online car-hailing: It is recommended to locate “Jiutian·Lakeside·Teahouse”, which can be reached by walking for 5 minutes after entering Tazishan Park.
[3] Public transportation: Exit D from “Tazishan Park” of Metro Line 2, walk to “Tazishan Park East Gate (pedestrian only)”, enter Tazishan Park and walk for 8 minutes.
