About teacher
Mr Chen: Chen Xinlin, courtesy name Mulin, alias Linyuan, and master of Juwen Hall, hails from Sichuan Province. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Sino-American Academy of Calligraphy and Painting in the United States, Vice President of the Sichuan Nostalgia Chinese Painting Academy, and is a member of the Sichuan Calligraphers and Painters Association. He previously held the position of Secretary-General of the Hong Kong Artists Association, was a specially invited calligrapher and painter at the China Education Institute, and is one of the founders of the Asian-American Art Initiative. From a young age, Chen has been deeply passionate about calligraphy and painting, initially mentored by his grandfather Liu Dingqian, a renowned calligrapher. For nearly four decades, he has diligently practiced, consistently studying famous steles and scripts from various dynasties under the guidance of several distinguished masters from Sichuan. Chen excels in hard-tip calligraphy, running script, clerical script, and cursive script, each style uniquely his own, appreciated by both refined and popular tastes, and he has developed a distinctive personal style. He also practices traditional Chinese painting. His works have been selected for numerous calligraphy and painting exhibitions and are collected by enthusiasts from various countries.
