Kiwese is ecstatic to welcome NZ electro-thrash duo BIRDPARTY back to Chengdu! After the band’s massive Mainland tour last year with fellow Kiwi outfit Vera Ellen, they return with this special show at Jah Bar on 9 April, ahead of their debut at Chun You Festival.
BIRDPARTY is the unlikely merging of extreme metal musician William Barrett
(Heresiarch) and ambient/electronic dance producer Emma Bernard (Ludus).
Constructed with sample-based textures, trippy vocals and drums, the duo
build scintillating sci-fi soundtracks for the adventurous listener…
Support from the mind-warping drum-sax-electronics improv trio Maomaoyopo, feat. producer Leonwill, drummer Wang Di and VJ UPDUB 🎷🥁📺, plus a live set by Kiwese boss Kaishandao🗡️
