We are delighted to announce the return of Chengdu Comedy Club to the The Beer Nest 1 birthday celebrations, this show is a repeat of the Patrick’s day performance show in March, giving a chance to those who missed out on that sold out show, and the many who were turned away. A night of live stand up comedy combined with the great birthday drink promotions ensures that this will be a night to remember!
Host for the evening is Slovakian native Michal, who has performed in both Slovakia and Chengdu for a number of years opening for international headline acts. He also hosts a monthly open mic night in Chengdu.
Representing the Chinese side of things is Nicole, coming from Shenzhen. Nicole has a huge background in the Chinese comedy scene, touring all over the country and opening for international headliners.
Frank is born and raised in Chengdu. He loves to make fun of people but always remembers his own flaws, which are never left without a joke.
Boston, USA native Dan is the evening’s featured performer, a regular feature of southwest China’s international comedy circuit. Starting out in New York, then to Chongqing (earning the nickname Mr. Comedy Chongqing in the process) before his move to Chengdu, his international experience is sure to go down a treat.
The night’s headline act is Irishman Rob, whose hard work has built Chengdu’s comedy scene up from the ground. Since 2012, when he became the first English-speaking comic to perform in the city, he has hosted open mic nights and acted as MC for internationally headlined Kung Fu Komedy tour shows more than 50 times.
Undoubtedly Chengdu is in for a hilarious night.
