What is “Longmenzhen”?
“Longmenzhen” is Sichuanese for chatting and gossiping… The word refers to the casual and spontaneous temperament of Sichuan and Chongqing people. You know the one.
Nothing can stop the electricity, of being seated around a table, with friends, or new acquaintances as the chat heats up, and everyone settles in to the rhythm hopefully follow of chat, and gossip… this is Longmenzhen.
This is why we called the festival Longmenzhen, as a place to meet, and connect, and be lulled into the friendly buzz of Chengdu.
