Tucked away in Yulin – one of Chengdu’s coolest neighbourhoods – this compact shop blends two distinct vibes into one space: wholesome fresh smoothies by day, and refined craft cocktails after dark.
Hælu Grëne’s affordable smoothies (available 11:00-21:00) range from ¥25 to ¥38, blended fresh with fruits, vegetables, nuts and other natural ingredients. No artificial additives or flavourings are used at all, making them ideal light refreshments for casual neighbourhood walks.
By night (15:00-23:00) the space transforms with warm, low lighting, serving a curated selection of premium craft cocktails. Shop owner Miles moved back to Chengdu after spending his formative years as a mixologist in some of Beijing’s best bars, and an extra plus is that he speaks English.
