Does it feel like you’ve got nothing to read while your bookshelf is actually full? Would you like to live a more sustainable life? Or do you just need an excuse to have a beer and meet some new people?
If the answer to one of the questions above is YES, you’re ready to join our book swap event coming Saturday!
How does it work?
- Dive into your bookshelf and bring the best you’ve got that you don’t want anymore (or have the electronic version of it) and would like someone else to have it.
- Write your name on a small piece of paper and place it inside the book you will swap. When the person receiving the book opens it and finds your name, he/she has to look for you to hear a short story about the book (or anything else you’d like to share).
- For each item you will receive a token that you can use again on the event to take your new item(s) home! It’s simple: the definition of swapping as it should be: make each other happy without having to spend a penny!
Leftover books will be donated to make other souls happy.
Why?
Events such as book and clothes swaps give us a chance to realise the importance of things outside of just what we can buy. A chance to share not just fantastic stories but also the feelings behind them!
Rules!
* Bring in at least 1 book to exchange.
* Any genre is welcome: Fiction. thriller, horror, romance, science fiction, fantasy, magical realism, educational books like HSK or IELTS. and even children’s books like the one our dear friend Arya just wrote
* YES: E-books (bring your computer) and books in good conditions.
* NO: Wrinkled or torn books.
