Rotary Club of Chengdu Golden Globe Charity Gala
Since 2015, the RCC-YMCA summer camp project has impacted and benefitted 1794 children from families experiencing separation due to economic migration. The program has also provided training and work experience opportunities to 442 young volunteers. The summer camp takes place over a 5 day period. The camp activities are designed to help the children overcome challenges they face in their everyday life through learning new skills, making friends, and fostering positive communication skills. More importantly, through carefully designed play based activities, the camp aims to support the children to develop independence, confidence, resilience, and effective cooperation skills with peers. This year, the camp will take place over 4 locations across Jintang, Qionglai, and Pengzhou.
