Dujiangyan Irrigation System
Constructed over 2,000 years ago for flood control, this irrigation project is the only ancient water conservancy system worldwide that remains fully operational to this day. It continues to play a crucial role in irrigating farmlands across the Chengdu Plain, serving as the linchpin of the “Land of Abundance” and standing as a testament to the wisdom of the ancient Shu people.
