ALEX SHI:
Alex Shi is a writer and director from Jilin province who has been a fixture of Beijing’s comedy scene for the last five years. Shi has collaborated with renowned comedians, including Joe Wong and Kavin Jay, and she has been featured on the BBC, CGTN, and Vice. She has worked as a content designer for TikTok, a cross-cultural communication expert for ByteDance, and a local media specialist servicing international organizations such as the Global Center on Adaptation. More recently, she has become known as the “brainless woman” on Instagram after a viral vidoe featuring her appearance.

Chengdu Comedy Club headliner DC turns the chaos of life, love, and living in China into an evening of sharp storytelling and hilariously uncomfortable truths. From cultural collisions to his own questionable decisions, he finds the punchlines in situations you’ll recognize—and a few you’ll be glad happened to someone else.
A Chengdu staple performing across China since 2022, DC pairs a friendly grin with a wicked sense of humor. His roasts come with charm, his stories pull you in, and occasionally, something hits a little too close to home.
Before stand-up, DC worked the microphone as an on-air host at 987fm Rock Radio in Hollywood, California. These days, he gets to say the things that probably wouldn’t make it past a radio producer.
