The 2nd Hospitality and Retail Seminar
Join us on Wednesday the 19th of June for our second Hospitality and Retail seminar! The focus of the seminar will be on young staff retention.
A strong economy, rising global consumer purchasing power, and digital innovation have all fueled record growth in the travel and hospitality industry, with China’s hospitality market being cited as “among the most important-if not the most important-markets for global operators” (ATKearney). Nevertheless, staff retention remains one of the biggest challenges facing the industry, particularly among staff of the younger generation. This is particularly problematic in a customer service orientated industry, as a high staff turnover disrupts the continuity of service and undermines the ability to build the interpersonal relationships that define effective teams.
The speakers hail from a range of backgrounds and will together offer a rounded overview of how to best retain staff from the younger generation in today’s changing professional landscape. In additional to lectures by general and HR managers, there will be a lecture on sleep and mental health, offering a multifaceted approach to supporting the well-being of your staff.
