ALEX SHI:
Alex Shi is a writer and director from Jilin province who has been a fixture of Beijing’s comedy scene for the last five years. Shi has collaborated with renowned comedians, including Joe Wong and Kavin Jay, and she has been featured on the BBC, CGTN, and Vice. She has worked as a content designer for TikTok, a cross-cultural communication expert for ByteDance, and a local media specialist servicing international organizations such as the Global Center on Adaptation. More recently, she has become known as the “brainless woman” on Instagram after a viral video featuring her appearance.
DANIEL DAN:
Daniel Dan hails from a small mountain town in Hunan and began doing stand-up in Beijing in 2016. He soon became a regular performer at comedy shows around the city, opening for well-known acts including Joe Wang. Dan has worked as a writer for Danliren, one of China’s top comedy labels, as well as for popular programs including Listen to Me, Super Sketch Show, and King of Comedy—you’ve probably even seen a few of his jokes trending on Weibo.
