Profile
Hash House Harriers is an international group of running and walking clubs that started in Kuala Lumpur 1938, most clubs have special runs called the Red Dress Run.
The Red Dress Run was named after a run in Long Beach California in 1987 when Lady Donna Reinhardt was invited to wait behind as she had misread the event and turned up in a red dress and high heels. She declined to wait and ran in her red dress. She was then invited back the following year and she suggested that it should become a charity event. Since then, hundreds of clubs have started holding Red Dress Runs.
Chengdu Panda Hash House Harriers since 1997 has been holding the Red Dress Run every year to follow this tradition. This year the charity run is partnering with ‘CDSSTJ – Fang Cheng Education Foundation’ to raise funding for families with children suffering from pneumoconiosis to assist then to complete their studies for a better future.
This year, Red Dress Run is going to be held in Jiezi Town. Yanlord will provide transportation, beer, drinks and T-shirts for everyone involved. Sign up before August 16th so that Yanlord can arrange enough buses for those involved
