Registration for the Marathon has now opened at http://www.chengdu-marathon.org/, click 报名参赛 (sign up to participate), accept the terms and conditions and proceed to the registration form.
From 08:00 on the 23rd of September Chengdu will be hosting its first in international marathon in over 30 years as up to 20,000 runners take to Tianfu Avenue to run either a Full Marathon (42.2km), Half Marathon (21.1km) or Fun Run (6km). Starting from the Western China International Expo Centre, the International Expo Centre will also serve as the finishing line to Full Marathon and Fun Run. The Half Marathon will finish at the Tianfu International Financial Centre. Whilst 7000 places are open to athletes wanting to run the Full Marathon, 8000 spots exist for the Half Marthon and 5000 for the Fun Run. In the event the number of applications exceed the number of places lots will be drawn to determine who can participate.
Registration
Registration opens 08:00 on the 5th of August 2017 and the deadline for registration is 17:00 on the 11th of August 2017.
On the 14th of August applicants will be able to log into the http://www.chengdu-marathon.org/ to check sign up status by clicking 状态查询. On successful selection applicants must pay registration fees between the 10:00, 21st of August and 17：00，23rd of August. Failure to pay participation fees in time will result in automatic disqualification. Fees vary between Chinese and International athletes.
Chinese athlete fee (includes Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan):
Full Marathon – RMB 150
Half Marathon – RMB 120
Fun Run – RMB 80
Foreign athlete fee:
Full Marathon – RMB 300
Half Marathon – RMB 240
