Gestures of Flowers:
Floral Masterpieces through Centuries from the Belvedere in Vienna
Centered on floral motifs, this exhibition gathers landmark works across five major art movements, tracing the evolution of Austrian flower painting from the 18th century to the early 1900s. Showcasing 60 original floral masterpieces created by 35 distinguished artists.
Vienna’s Belvedere Museum houses the world’s largest assemblage of Gustav Klimt paintings. For the first time, the museum presents its overseas exhibition with such a substantial lineup under one cohesive theme. Aligned with the 55th anniversary of China-Austria diplomatic ties in 2026, this show is officially listed as a flagship bilateral cultural exchange program. Chengdu is the final venue on its China tour.
