This series is intended to provide a coherent understanding of the ancient Chinese cosmology with a comparative study that examines various significant ancient cultures around the world, such as Greek/ Egyptian, Indian/ Babylonian, etc.; and what they offer as an insight into an archaic natural philosophy, that not only is an universal phenomenon but potentially a record of a global civilization from high antiquity that survived only in diverse global mythologies.
From such cosmology, we’ll be delving further into the logic of the Book of Change, and explore both the theory as well as practice that reciprocally developed each other into an elaborate system of life science in China, commonly known as 岐黄五术– the five techniques of the Yellow Emperor; which include Feng-Shui, traditional Chinese medicine, etc.
