In 1980, the Kendal Mountain Festival was founded in the Lake District, UK. Now in its 46th year, it has grown into a prestigious international celebration of outdoor culture—hailed as the “Oscars of Outdoor Films.” Each year, over 25,000 global attendees gather in Kendal for the four-day festival, featuring a rich array of outdoor-themed screenings, talks, literature, art, and immersive experiences.
Kendal made its way into China in 2014. Since then, it has organized annual outdoor documentary film screenings across the country, bringing breathtaking visual experiences to outdoor enthusiasts in many cities of China.
