About Chengdu Library
Founded in 1912, Chengdu Library is one of the oldest public libraries in western China, with more than a century of history. Since relocating to its current home on Wenweng Road in 2003, it has become one of Chengdu’s leading cultural and educational centres.
Today, the library houses millions of books alongside an extensive collection of digital resources, including e-books, audiobooks, journals and online databases. Visitors can enjoy spacious reading rooms, quiet study areas, exhibitions and regular cultural events throughout the year.
