Shagg Lake is a completely original & good-humored murder mystery written, directed, and hosted by writer and performer John Knauss.
Over the course of the evening, players immerse themselves in the roles of recognizable characters from the summer camp slasher genre (a genre popularized in the 1980s by films such as Friday the 13th and more recently the Netflix series American Horror Story 1984). Each evening is limited to 30 players in a private setting, assuring plenty of interaction and the opportunity to perform for others in key moments. Unlike other murder mysteries, Shagg Lake combines role-play, traditional puzzle solving, and physical challenges within ever-changing small groups to assure genuine interactivity and engagement. Player-characters are both scripted as well as encouraged to improvise.
A real passion project, Shagg Lake is the fifth large-scale interactive social game designed by John, along with Star Command: Hysperstranded!, Star Command: A Clone In The Dark, The Ice Thing, and It Came From the Pink Crevasse! which have enjoyed successful runs in both Shanghai and Chengdu. This promises to be an unforgettable evening for those willing to face the horrors lurking at Shagg Lake..!

Ticket price of 125RMB covers the game + food & other drink specials available directly from the venue. Scripted at 2 hours, actual gameplay is closer to 3 hours long due to the general level of revelry and unavoidable pleasure that every past event has manifested.
