Kendal Mountain Festival
In 1980, mountaineers John Porter and Brian Hall founded the first Kendal Mountain Festival in Britain, named after Kendal, a town in the Lake District of England, in order to raise funds to climb Mount Qomolangma in China. Every year, Kendal submits the best films from around the world, and a panel of professional judges selects the finalists. For this reason, the Kendal Mountain Film Festival is also known as the Oscars of Outdoor Films. As an important part of the global adventure culture, the Kendal Mountain Film Festival is always dedicated to sharing the adventure, encouraging more people to explore the unknown.

Trek n Track is a pluralistic community providing all-round socially supercharged services on bilingual outdoor adventures, personalised travel guides, international language and cultural exchanges. Combining social attributes and outdoor recreation, we bend ourselves to organizing non-touristic and in-depth outdoor tours with the goal of building a friendly outdoor community where everyone feels welcome and has permanent access to meaningful hiking and other outdoor adventures.
