Erguxi is one of the little-known creeks. Located next to the National Highway 317 in Jiabi Township, Li County, it belongs to the heart of Miyaluo Scenic Area, which is 230 kilometers away from Chengdu. As an unexploited hidden gem with an altitude of 2700-4100 m, it integrates most of the scenery of Li County such as high mountains, meadows, snow peaks, sea of clouds, Tibetan villages, red leaves, forests, and so on. It is surrounded by mountains in all directions and it’s a natural 360-degree snow-capped mountain viewing platform.
DAY1: Chengdu-Miansi-Guergou Town-Erguxi Village
08:20 Meet at Exit C, Metro Line 2, Baiguolin and the bus will leave at 08:30 on dot. The whole distance is about 220 km, normally about 3.5 hours drive.
12:00-12:30 Lunchtime! We’ll have lunch together at Guergou Town.
12:30-13:30 After lunch, we’ll continue to take the bus for 30 minutes to reach Erguxi Village and from there we have to take a local transfer van (50 RMB/pp at your own expense) to our final destination. The ride should take about 30 minutes.
13:30-16:00 Hike for about 1-1.5 hours to reach the campsite and then we’ll pitch tents on our own.
16:00-18:00 Free activities. There is a hillside behind the campsite with the highest altitude of 4100 m. You can either choose to hike for another 1 hour to reach there, which is more physically demanding due to the high altitude. Adhere to according to your own capability. Or you can take a leisure walk around the campsite where there are swings and bird nests for you to take wonderful photos. Spend some time around this 360-degree unobstructed viewing platform.
18:00-22:00 Dinner Time! We’ll enjoy the delicious Tibetan hot pot while watching the beautiful sunset and then we can feel free to play some games, sing and dance, chat freely, count the stars, view the Milky Way if possible…To see the falling night, concluding a well-lived day.
DAY2: Erguxi Valley-Guergou Town-Miansi-Chengdu
08:00-08:30 Breakfast Time!
08:30-10:00 Capture the wonderful sunrise moment and cloud seas. Then pack your luggage, dismantle your camp and get ready to leave.
10:00-12:00 Take a group photo on the mountain top to mark this moment and start to go downhill at 10 am on dot.
12:00-12:30 Lunch Time! You can make your own lunch choice at your own cost at any of the local restaurants at the foothill.
12:30-16:30 Exclusive Benefits! 🍁 On the way back, we will head to a secret forest to observe more autumn colors.
16:30-19:30 Get back to Chengdu.
