September 8: Preludes & Fugues 2019 Du Tianqi Recital
In September 2019, Du Tianqi will hold his recital tour at Chengdu. He chooses 13 pieces of B-flat major, A Minor, C Major and B Minor basing on the Bach motif from Johann Sebastian Bach’s The Well-Tempered Clavier, Book 1&2 and Dmitri Shostakovich’s Prelude and Fugue.
In his point of view, Bach motif is the most wonderful coincidence, which leads the music decentralisation development and helps it reaching a new world as atonality. Du wants to pay his respect to rational Bach with Dmitri’s crazy while presenting an unconventional performance to all the audiences with their respect.
