An Urban Oasis with a Sustainable Heart
The Ring Chengdu isn’t just an architectural marvel; it’s also a symbol of Hongkong Land’s dedication to sustainability. The development plans to incorporate a 600 sq. m. solar photovoltaic power generation system, aiming to save approximately 28 tons of coal and reduce emissions by 82 tons of CO₂, 2.5 tons of SO₂, and 22 tons of particulate matter annually. The project has also received LEED-CS Gold pre-certification, highlighting its commitment to environmental stewardship. This focus on sustainability not only benefits the environment but also sets a new benchmark for eco-friendly urban development.
Hongkong Land’s Strategy and Presence in Chengdu
Since 2010, Hongkong Land has expanded its presence in Chengdu, initially focusing on residential projects like WE City and Artisan Bay. With The Ring Chengdu, the company is extending its portfolio, following a two-pronged strategy through its CENTRAL and The Ring lifestyle retail series. This strategy aims to create innovative and sustainable commercial spaces that integrate retail with art, culture, and nature, thereby redefining urban lifestyles in rapidly growing Chinese communities. Over the next five years, Hongkong Land plans to further expand by opening 10 new developments across seven Chinese cities, adding 360,000 sq. m. of retail space and increasing its commercial properties in China to 17, alongside existing assets in Hong Kong, Macau, Beijing, Chongqing, and Shanghai.
