Chengdu Panda Hash Annual Red Dress Charity Run
The “Red Dress Run” is held annually by individual Hash chapters. In 1987, a woman by the name of Donna Rhinehart, wearing a red dress, arrived in southern California to visit a friend from her high school years. Shortly thereafter, she found herself transported to Long Beach, where her friend intended to introduce her to the “Hash House Harriers.” One member, noting she was female and attired in a red dress, urged that she “just wait in the truck” until her host returned. Feeling goaded, Rhinehart ran into history sporting her red dress and heels.
Chengdu Panda Hash House Harriers since July 27, 1997 has been running every other week in and around the city of Chengdu. Chengdu Panda Hash House Harriers have been holding a Red Dress Run every year, a tradition which supports charity that makes us proud.
April 13th will be the Chengdu Panda Hash’s Annual Red Dress Run, an event whereupon runners young and old, male and female, wear a red dress and participate in a charity fun run.This year ‘s run will be held at Padel Center Guixi Park. ALL PROCEEDS GO TO Children with Severe Disease from Poor Families, Thank you for your support.
