Li County is located in the west of Sichuan Province, the east of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and the southeastern edge of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. The geological structure belongs to the Longmenshan fault zone, which is a typical middle-high mountain valley area. The mountains in the territory are continuous with overlapping peaks. The average elevation is 2,700 meters so that the height difference is huge, forming numerous vertical and horizontal ravines.
This hike happens in high-altitude areas with some abrupt slope and the highest altitude of this trek can be up to 3,470 m. It is estimated to take 3.5-4h to reach the mountain top and 2.5-3h to go downhill. The difficulty is slightly higher than the Eastern Up and Western Down route of Mt. Zhaogong in Dujiangyan. However, this hike follows a return route, so if you cannot successfully reach the summit, you can choose to return in advance at any time, which is really fine. You could regard this as a stimulus to further efforts and we will accompany you to complete this challenging journey.
