Fête de la Musique – Global Music Festival rocking Chengdu

Fête de la Musique (FDLM) is one of the biggest FREE music festivals, started in Paris in 1982 by French Cultural Minister Jack Lang (original idea by American DJ Joel Cohen). Every year on June 21st (summer solstice) whole cities are transformed into concerts, which feature various music styles for free. Nowadays, it is celebrated in more than 450 cities in over 100 countries.
2016 is the 11th year of Fête de la Musique in China and will run in 7 different cities! It is part of the Festival Croisement, a series of Sino-French cultural events, including art & movie exhibitions, concerts and performances.
