DaChuanXiang Alley
Localised in the city’s hip Dachuanxiang Alley – which has been clad in a traditional Chengdu facade, (read more about that here) – the street has several cocktail and craft beer bars, a few restaurants (like this great new pizzeria), art venues, and other business.
For the history buffs – at the west end of the alley is where you‘ll find the remains of the east wall of old Chengdu, which dates back to at least the Qing dynasty.

La Loca Mojito Bar
La Loca is a Cuban style mojito bar, opened by Robin from France. There are indoor, and alfresco tables – which get particularly pumping on their all-you-can-drink nights (see below), as people spread out onto the pavement.
When we visited, it became clear that he’s very laser focused on the ingredients, and is hand crafts every cocktail himself. The place offers a wide selection of mojitos, from classic to newer imaginings, prepared with fresh and quality ingredients. The atmosphere is friendly and buzzy, great for a chat with friends, or somewhere to start the night.

The heroes of the menu are the 10 signature mojitos – with flavours varying from mango to spicy. There’s something for everyone! There are also classic cocktails, and a rum list, by the bottle.
If cocktails aren’t your thing, they have beers on tap (Great Leap IPL draft + latin cervezas), whisky, gin, tequila, shots, and wine.
