The 29th Chengdu Motor Show takes place from August 21 to 30, 2026, at Western China International Expo City. The 9-day show will feature the latest technology of the global auto manufacturing and put on display about 1,600 new vehicles of 120+ brands from all over the world, some of which bringing global debuts or best-selling ones, in 12 exhibition halls with a total area of over 220 thousand square meters.

Ranked among the largest and most prestigious A‑grade auto exhibitions across central and western China, this year’s event covers 220,000 square metres of exhibition space, hosting close to 120 major domestic and international automotive brands with roughly 1,600 vehicles on display.

Visitors can explore a full spectrum of vehicles, including Chinese domestic marques, premium luxury brands, mainstream joint‑venture offerings, and a wide range of new‑energy models. The show hosts an impressive roster of premieres: many global, national and southwest‑China debuts alongside brand‑new production cars will be unveiled during the exhibition. Standout global launches include the GWM ORA 07, Chery EXEED EX6 and new SAIC Volkswagen vehicles, while BYD will reveal its first‑ever D‑class luxury flagship sedan Great Han on media day. Multiple national debuts such as the Changan Deepal S05 and Avatr 07L will also draw attention, with the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance presenting its complete five‑brand product portfolio.

Local manufacturing takes the spotlight with a solid “Made in Chengdu” vehicle showcase. The production‑ready EPICLAND X9 full‑size flagship SUV from Dongfeng‑Huawei will start customer deliveries at the show, and Jetta will step into the pure‑electric segment with two new concept and production models. Popular locally‑built cars from Volvo, Zeekr and Lynk & Co will also be on view. Making its first appearance this year, a special exhibition zone highlights Chengdu‑based intelligent connected vehicle industry‑chain breakthroughs covering batteries, motors, electronic controls and smart driving technology. This area also acts as a business‑matching hub connecting domestic car exhibitors with international buyers.
