Welcome all to Part 3 Outlook (Leadership) of the Going Zero Waste Awareness campaign, we’re reaching the end of

this campaign! It’s been quite a journey!

In the first event of Part 3, Zero Waste Chengdu and the first and most famous sustainable shop in Chengdu Blue Sheep will be collaborating together to make this workshop an informative, interactive and inspiring one.

The impact of our actions on this planet, especially our consumption patterns and the different approaches to become conscious consumers

will be addressed in this talk.

Who is Blue Sheep?

Currently their main focus is on those affected by disability, disease, disaster, or poverty, have been trafficked, are in single parent families or living in remote, hard-to-access places. They assist them to gain skills, using the resources most easily available to them, to make marketable products that they can bring to a wider audience. Sometimes this includes introducing them to the changing trends of different countries.

Many of them then blend these into stunning unique items, using their own traditional designs and techniques.

 Why Get Involved? 

1. Time is critical; China is the most populated country in the world therefore the repercussion of individual actionscan easily produce a change on a big scale.

2. Chengdu was the fastest growing economy in China in 2020 (even with the pandemic), if sustainability becomes part of its agenda, other cities will follow after.

3. Because of our love for Mother Nature! When you care about something/someone you want to understand it and look after it.
