Jazz Appreciation Night w/ Professor Sobol
You are invited to come to Tongzilin Cultural Center, every Monday evening at 7:30pm, with drinks to relax and enjoy, and I will be there to share with you from my many years of teaching jazz history and jazz appreciation, and my knowledge, as an open book to you. I hope we can have lively discussions and active participation, and that you come prepared with your most burning questions. I will take your questions as a launchpad for exploration and discussion, and augment that with a variety of media: live performances, documentaries, historical footage, pictures, recordings, sheet music, and live demonstration. The content will be presented for non professionals, and every week will be different. In the truest spirit of jazz, I will be improvising the content of the day, by listening, responding and adjusting to the audience.
