Chengdu Comedy Club is carrying its most exciting project yet, a comedy festival! Two nights of back-to-back comedy! Each night is a completely different show, with different material and comedians each night. Best of all, all proceeds are going to charity, so let’s use laughter to do something good!
This upcoming June 14th and 15th, Chengdu Comedy Club is proud to host this year’s showcase featuring our local comedians who have been working for months building up their sets for this show! This will be a ticketed event and ALL the money will be going to charity. The comedians do not receive any payment for this show.
In March, we had a clothing drive for the XiChang Bozhiai Social Service Center and collected 200 kilos of warm clothes for the people of Liangshan, Sichuan. Many of these people had Leprosy earlier in their lives and this charity helps take care of the people in these communities that were previously infected. For more information, click here.
One year ago, we had our 3 day comedy festival and raised 20,000RMB which went to life saving surgery for a child that had a heart defect. This was through the Hopeful Hearts charity. For more information, click here.

Tickets are limited and will sell out, so please buy early…This is a chance to do something good, give to charity, support live comedy and be part of history in Chengdu’s second ever comedy festival!
Ticket prices:
Single night tickets – 100 RMB
Two-night packages – 180 RMB
*Each show start around 20:30, tickets do NOT include a drink and tickets are non-refundable.
The Charity:
This year we are trying to raise money to give children school supplies at the XiChang Bozhiai Social Service Center’s school. This school caters to children who are commonly referred to as left behind children where their parents work in the cities and their children are usually raised by their grandparents. Most of these children come from lower income households and we are trying to raise money to buy as many kids as possible some school supplies. The school has 1700 children and it costs roughly 80 RMB to give 1 student their school supplies.
For this event, if you would like to donate any books, school supplies, comic books (Chinese language) or anything else that you think may help these kids, please mail them directly to the center. You could also order the items on Taobao/JD and have them sent directly to the center. The address is below:

Also if you have any warm clothes or blankets that you are no longer using and do not need, if you mail them to the center, they will distribute these before the winter comes. These are items that are in demand and the charity still does not have enough supplies for all the residents. To give you an idea of shipping costs, we were able to mail out 8x 25 kilo boxes and each box costs about 60 to 100 RMB for a massive box (The price varied as each box was of different weight).
