How Foreigners Apply for Mobile Phone Cards in Chengdu?

China’s first full-service outlet of China Telecom operating at the airport, was put into service at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport in February. The outlet, located next to the exit for international travelers at Terminal 1, provides travelers and foreigners coming to China easy access to quick and convenient service covering application for mobile phone cards and tailored products, including the 7-day, 15-day and 30-day packages, as well as those regular ones for permanent expat residents.

 

Tips on daily phone cards application

To apply for mobile phone cards by main telecommunication providers in the Chinese mainland, you need to visit the offline service outlets in person and show valid identity certificates (such as passports and residence permits) for real-name authentication.

Search on the map apps for the nearest service outlet → bring your passport or permanent resident card→ get your appointment number from the machine and wait in line → complete the procedures at the counter.You can contact the outlets in advance to inquire about the procedure.
