QSI International School of Chengdu partnered with Heifer International for a service-learning “Read to Feed” program that encourages children to develop both a love of reading and an opportunity to help create a better world. During the past 3 years QSI has donated over RMB 180,000 to help local Chinese communities in need. Each year, students, parents, and teachers participate in a study tour to see how the program is promoted among local villages. This year’s study group had the opportunity to visit three villages in Leibo and Zhajue counties. It was full of eye-opening experiences, smiling faces, and warm inviting communities.
