Our post-covid dreams of actually going places are finally coming true, with cheeky weekends away in Hong Kong now a 10 hour high speed train away, from Chengdu East. Lan Kwai Fong Chengdu to Lan Kwai Fong Hong Kong here we come! The new rail service is aimed at promoting tourism western Chinese region, especially around Chengdu.

The train departs from the Chengdu East Railway Station at 8:48 am, passes through Leshan, Yibin, Guiyang, Guilin, Foshan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places, and then arrives at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station at 18:55 pm, with the whole journey lasting approximately 10 hours and 7 minutes. In terms of the other direction, the departure time from Hong Kong is 10:08 am, and the arrival time in Chengdu is 19:53 pm, with the duration of the entire journey lasting about 9 hours and 45 minutes.

Note that Chinese passengers need to apply for a Hong Kong and Macao Entry Permit and ensure that the endorsement is valid.
