Tips for Spring
Arunika Ekawati, Director of Iridium Spa, recommends four simple, yet effective, tips for guests to maintain their healthful spa practices at home.
Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate
Transition from winter to spring potentially makes your skin look less illuminated and dull. Before changing your moisturizer, try exfoliating and applying extra moisturizer. This season requires you to use more than your usual dose. Exfoliating, followed by moisturizing, two to three times per week is highly recommended. If you are mixing a homemade scrub, add more oil, such as olive oil, into the ingredients.

Warm water intake
Drinking more warm water to stay hydrated. Ensure that the water is not too hot. The suggested amount of daily consumption is 9 cups (2.2 liter).

More vitamins
In addition to topical care of your skin, your internal body needs proper care too. Your skin will benefit greatly if you increase consumption of vitamins E, C, and K. Getting enough vitamin A is also essential. Otherwise, your skin may experience severe dryness. Eating fruit and other foods rich in vitamin A will help. Strawberries and tomatoes are two examples of vitamin A-rich foods.
