Coronavirus | Official Report from Chengdu Center for Disease Prevention & Control

To effectively prevent and control the current pneumonia epidemic of a new coronavirus, Sichuan Province initiated the level-1 public health emergency plan on January 24. To keep you and your relatives healthy and safe, the following tips are suggested by the Chengdu Center for Disease Prevention & Control to those who return to or arrive in Chengdu from Wuhan or its surrounding cities:

1. Please report to the local community committee, sub-district office, or country (town) government your time of and daily activities after arriving in Chengdu, transportation method (high-speed railway or flight in details), and anyone who accompanied you.
2. Please quarantine yourself in your home for 14 days after your arrival, during which, do not accept any visits from relatives or attend any parties, receptions, or entertainment in densely populated venues, such as malls and cinemas. If you must leave your apartment, please properly wear a medical mask and avoid talking face-to-face with anyone.
3. During those 14 days, please sanitize your home clean and keep it well ventilated by opening the windows 2 times a day for 20 min each time.
4. Please cooperate with community workers for observation and collection of information concerning the physical conditions of you and your family members. Wear a medical mask and go to the nearest designated hospital (see the attached list) for treatment in case of fatigue, fever, cough, etc.
Cooperate with any investigation. Isolation, disinfection, and other measures will be greatly appreciated. We firmly believe that when millions of us are all of one mind, the final victory will be ours!
