The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu and Smile Asia are working together to change young children’s lives. As a part of Asia Smile week, they are raising money to provide surgery for children suffering with facial deformities. To date, this charity has raised more than 1.8million U.S. dollars.

Since the launch of the project five years ago, the ‘Smile Asia Week’ project has funded more than 2,000 surgical procedures, which has improved the lives of thousands of patients and their families. This year, more than 30 surgeries will be carried out in China, India, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Cambodia, Myanmar and Bangladesh.

This year the Ritz-Carlton will be preparing special raspberry cheesecakes, available for order – which the proceeds will go towards helping cleft-lip and palate surgeries for Children. Each of these gourmet, hand crafted cakes, made by expert patissiers – costs 298元rmb, all of which will go to the charity.
