Schedule and Where to Watch in Chengdu
With every game on CCTV5, you can watch from the comfort of your sofa. Let’s first check the schedule [click for full view]:
This may be the best option for the weekday 3am games; however, if you enjoy a cold beverage or two while watching the games (on a big screen), be sure to check out these places:
1. The Shamrock: Long standing favourite with sports fans. Enjoy watching the game inside or outside on the terrace.
2 Leg & Whistle: Big screen, English commentary, cold Tsingtao. A winning combination.
3. Niccolo Bar: The Niccolo Hotel bar at IFS is pulling out all the stops. Nice drinks, big screen, lovely terrace.
4. Wanda Plaza: Not 100% sure about this but in past years there has been a large open air bar with big screens there. Worth checking out!
5. The Park: Tongzilin’s newest bar, Western restaurant and beer garden. Showing games on 3 TV’s and the big screen. Home of the 3 lions.
6. Mooney’s (inside Shangri-La Hotel): quality Western confort food with a wide selection of alcoholic beverages.
7. Paulaner Bräuhaus (inside Kempinski Hotel): Authentic high class German drinking and eating. Check the Eurocup promotion packages.
8. Cheers/ Pizza Amore: 15% off beer & Sparkling.
9. La Cave: Cozy wine bar, no-nonsense Frenchies base camp.
10. Revolucion Cocktail Bar
11. The Beer Nest 1 + 2: Belgian (beer lovers) HQ, with several screens in each Nest. The Beer Nest 2 has a huge screen inside and a big one outside. Draft Beers are RMB 30 during the games + chance to win 5 twenty liter kegs.
