The Chengdu Global Citizen Festival coincides with the launch of the United Nations’ new Global Goals, which are designed to fight inequality, protect our planet and end extreme poverty by 2030.
The Global Citizen Festival will channel the power of hundreds of thousands of global citizens lending their voices to achieve policy and financial change to shape the success of these Goals.
This Festival on Sunday 27th September (10am – 6pm) will be a unique and nature based ‘green experience’ for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience a global and sustainable lifestyle.
The festival is based on our shared values of sustainability, community engagement and culture. The family event is sponsored by Yanlord Chengdu, supported by Fraser Suites Chengdu and hosted by The B^RN.
Participating vendors include Tesla, Roots and Shoots, Projects Abroad, Green Earth and much more.
Organized in partnership with Urban Hybrid Architecture (UHA), The Beer Nest, UrTurn, iGarden, and Welfare For Animals, we are a multi-disciplinary group of enthusiastic entrepreneurs from the architecture, agri-tech, fashion and cultural creative industries.
Our mission is to unite partnerships within the community to foster collaboration between business, lifestyle, education and cultural sectors to promote sustainable and eco-built environment design in Chengdu and to the world.

Chengdu and China’s first Global Citizen Festival coincided with the launch of the United Nation’s Global Goals historic launch in New York, which are designed to fight inequality, promote international quality education, protect our planet and end extreme poverty by 2030. The United Nations celebrated this significant occasion with a massive celebration and concert that included Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay and Pearl Jam, inspiring speeches from United Nation Ambassadors, a call to action by Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai and gathering of scores of Presidents and Prime Ministers from all over the world.
Over 450 people in Chengdu and hundreds of thousands of global citizens channeled their voices together to support change to improve our WORLD. On Sunday September 27th people of all ages and cultures took part to experience, celebrate a sustainable lifestyle and place their handprint on world change at Yanlord Landmark. The Festival was held on the 6th floor outdoor terrace of Yanlord Landmark/ Fraser Suites Chengdu and Chengdu’s dynamic and varied downtown skyline served as its own authentic backdrop. There was a wide range of organic food, coffee and craft beer along with socially responsible businesses and NGOs. Activities included; community vendors from within Chengdu’s vibrant community, yoga, a screening of the Global Citizen Festival Concert in New York, live music from acclaimed musicians and an interactive education location. It was an innovative platform for people to learn about how to take action and empower others to become involved and together tackle the world’s biggest challenges .
The United Nations Global Goals is focused on people-centered solutions and calls for action by all countries in 5 areas of key importance; people, planet, prosperity, peace and partnership. Ending poverty must go hand in hand with plans that include economic growth, while addressing social needs and welfare and simultaneously combating climate change. It is seen as an opportunity for every country in the world to work in partnerships to continue the momentum of these goals and transform them into productive, tangible action. At the heart of these historic goals is the first time recognition of the key role that businesses within communities can have to accelerate action to achieve these ambitious targets. Already the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Global Goals have 1,757 initiatives and counting more each day as an increasing number of businesses and sectors work together to improve the planet, life for its citizens and animals on land and under water.
Chengdu’s Global Citizen Festival was hosted and organized by The B^RN in partnership with iGarden, The Beer Nest, Urban Hybrid Architecture, UrTurn and Welfare For Animals. It is a multi-disciplinary group of entrepreneurs, architects, an event organization and a charity. It was sponsored by Yanlord Landmark Chengdu, supported by Fraser Suites Chengdu and based on shared values of sustainability, community engagement and culture.
We, the Global Citizen Festival Organizers, aimed to foster the ideals of community collaboration between various sectors to promote sustainability, education, environmental design and inspire the citizens of Chengdu to be a part of a momentous international and innovative platform for change. As only by working together can we help make this world become a better place.

The event will take place on the 6th floor outdoor rooftop terrace of the Yanlord Building in the heart of Chengdu. This unique location will provide a platform for an urban farmers market where local grassroots organizations will offer and showcase their socially aware products and businesses. This will include locally grown organic food, craft beer, a healthy juice bar, specialty cafes together with stalls for local socially aware businesses. This will be mixed in with live jamming sessions with local and international musicians, family activities and a screening of the Global Citizen Festival Concert from Central Park in New York including artists such as Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay.

A world where every child has a chance to go to school, a world where women and girls are protected from violence, and where preventable diseases aren’t holding people back.

为响应The Global Citizen Festival, 9月27日（周日）将在成都仁恒置地广场组织一场城市绿色市集，为不同年龄段、不同背景的成员提供一个全天然、健康、特色的绿色场所，体验健康的生活方式，提倡本地和全球可持续性理念。
组织方由一批来自建筑、景观设计、时尚和文化创意领域、拥有不同文化背景的热心企业家组成。现场不仅将展示及销售本地有机作物、手工啤酒、鲜榨果汁、特色咖啡……还将穿插入本地及国际的音乐家演出，并放映纽约中心公园举行的全球公民音乐节现场片段。
