QSI is a non-profit school organization that was founded in 1971 with the express purpose of staffing qualified, experienced, and caring teachers in private international schools around the world. Starting in Saana, Yemen, in 1971, QSI has since grown to 35 schools in 31 countries spanning five continents.
QSI International School of Chengdu opened its doors in the fall of 2002 and is celebrating its 20th anniversary of providing high quality education for expatriate students. Join us to become a member of the oldest international school in Chengdu.
Positions available:
PE Teacher (1):
Facilitate developmentally appropriate health and wellness education lessons to English speakers and learners while following an American curriculum. Ability to coach competitive sports is also required.
German Language Teacher (1):
Candidates must be able to teach both language learners and native speakers age-appropriate reading, writing, and speaking skills following the QSI curriculum. Must be a native German speaker to apply.
French Language Teacher (1):
Candidates must be able to teach both language learners and native speakers age-appropriate reading, writing, and speaking skills following the QSI curriculum. Must be a native French speaker to apply.
Music Teacher (1):
Candidates must be able to teach general music theory and facilitate instrument lessons while following an American curriculum. Experience with band and with organizing student performances preferred.
Chemistry/Biology Teacher (1):
Candidates must be able to teach Chemistry and/or Biology at AP/IB level. Experience with implementing high school science curriculum is preferred.
General Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- Native English speakers preferred
- At least three-years teaching experience
- Related teaching certificates
- Creativity in using different methods to teach and manage class
- Dedicated to Mastery Learning
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Be able to pass a national background check
